Moving!

After a short lived stint on Blogger, I've decided to pack up and move to Tumblr.

12/9 - Part 2

Productivity is so overrated.

Found a new Youtube channel called 5secondfilms that I really enjoy. I'll post a few of their videos below:

Perfection.

I used to want to make Youtube videos, but now I think I'm against that notion. It's so hard to get recognized on YT, and once you do become popular, your chances at being a real celebrity (not to take away from their accolades, because they're very well known), like actors in TV Shows and Movies kind of goes out the window.

I want to act. I've always loved being in productions and making people see the character and story that I'm portraying. After I pick a major, I'll graduate from UK and move to New York or LA, live there and try my hand at the acting game. It'll be hard to be noticed--hell, realistically, I probably WON'T be noticed, but I still feel like I should give it a shot.

12/9

It seems that I'll be posting on here a little more than I had previously thought.

Because Finals are coming up next week, I deactivated my Facebook account until after all my finals are done, thus eliminating my distractions; however, now I have virtually nothing to do on my numerous "Study Breaks," so this is a good outlet for me to post random blurbs, etc.

Blah, I hate cold and windy days. The weather here sucks at this time of the year, all cold and rainy and...

...who the FUCK is playing Lil' Wayne on full blast in the library?!?!?!?! It's probably the same dumbass who screamed "Happy Birthday Richard!" at the top of their lungs last night around midnight. I understand that, as a Sorostitute or Fraggot, your hardest class might be Basketball or Underwater Basket Weaving or hell, even maybe an intro to Communications class, and that you would much rather spend your time with your head in a toilet puking up all the Smirnoff Ice you just drank, but some people have hard classes that they have to STUDY for!!!!! This week is called "DEAD WEEK"--do NOT make me make it literal for you!!!!!

*sigh*

Bitches be crazy.

Confessions

I first heard about PostSecret on a vacation to Seaside, Florida four years ago. I remember going to the town's square area where a few shops were located and spotting a combination bookstore and record shop, which was too much awesome in one location for my immature mind to handle. After scouring the bookstore and finding a few interesting titles, I ran up the old stair case that lead to the record shop. In my haste to look at the vinyls (which were more like things of lore for me, being a child of the new wave of electronic music players), I made my way past a stack of books that I most likely would have never taken the time to look at. My haste, combined with my total lack of grace, resulted in a book falling off of it's perch at the top of the stack of books.

As I picked it up, I saw a cover depicting a package with the words "PostSecret" on in. Curious, I opened the book and read a few excerpts. The format of the book was something that I had never seen before, a plethora of post-cards with various doodles and sketches. More interesting than the pictures on the post-cards were the messages that they contained; each of the post-cards included in the book represented someone's deepest (and most often darkest) secrets. It blew my mind that someone would be willing to tell their most intimate secrets to a book. I wanted to buy the book, but I was afraid of answering any potential questions my mother would raise; I would feel dirty explaining that I was reading personal details of other people's lives.

I found this video recently, and I know I've posted once already today, but I felt like it needed to make its way on here too.

What's my secret, you may ask?

I have the most massive and looming fear of rejection. Because of this fear, I won't let anyone in. Instead, I talk to them about their problems, their feelings, always carefully avoiding topics that will raise questions about myself. What if they think that my thoughts and feelings are weird?

Now that I've gotten that off of my chest, what's your secret? Feel free to post anonymously, and only do so if you're unafraid to put your fears/aspirations/etc. out there.

Have a great day!

Hello, World.

I'm not going to make any big claims about what this blog will do. The fact of the matter is, I like to talk, and hopefully you'll enjoy reading my stories, rants, etc. There won't be a specific timeline of posts, either, I'm just taking this one day at a time.

I love Youtube. Well, I loved Youtube when it first came to my attention a couple years ago, before all the bullshit ads and over-produced Partner videos took over. Every so often you can find one of those rare gems, the videos that are funny, but not forced, entertaining, but not overly involved (i.e. Comment Question of the Day: What does YOUR big toe smell like?!?!?!? Leave an interesting or creative comment in the comment section below!!). I believe I've found one such gem:

No words can properly describe this.

Also, I know it's a Gap ad, but this commercial is overbearingly cute...I mean, just check out the little diva at around 20 seconds in (who reminds me of that possessed woman from 'Paranormal Acitivity'). Showing her freak out seems like a good method of contraceptive...

Enjoy.

Also, feel free to post any comments offering suggestions, or just to tell me what you think of my little blog.
